About Us - The Journey Within

Body Brain Behaviour Foundation started as a not-for-profit organization, aimed at making the world a happier, healthier and more productive place. Innergise is our flagship program. We take program participants on a journey within themselves, aligning body with brain, and awakening the spirit

Who are we?

Body Brain Behaviour Foundation is a non profit, research-oriented organisation. Our primary objective is to help people improve cognitive abilities for better overall performance and an enhanced quality of life, on brain development by addressing bodily functions, and physical and philosophical practices that lead to a more balanced life.

Noted cognitive neuroscience scholars and scientists are associated with us. Given that they regularly attend international conferences, workshops and seminars, their research base is always updated, enabling us to employ the latest methods in our workshops.

We are also strongly grounded in Kensho Budo Kyokai, an ancient Japanese martial art form that approaches the mind and spirit through the body to align all three.

Body Brain Behaviour Foundation applies cutting edge cognitive psychology research and tenets of Kensho Budo Kyokai to open up the mind by approaching it through the body.

Our Mentors?

Our panel of experts are the true driving force at Body Brain Behaviour Foundation. We are grateful to have experienced psychologists and psychiatrists to help with our counselling programmes.

We have been enriched by the research of neuro physicians and cognitive neuroscientists associated with us. Our cognitive behavioural therapists help us in building the programmes.

Finally, our true gurus are the Kenshi Budo Kyokai masters without whose teaching we could not have started this journey.

Participants of Body Brain Behaviour Foundation programmes benefit from the combined knowledge and experience of our panelists.

Kensho

Simply speaking, experiencing one's true self is Kensho. Aterm from the Japanese Zen tradition, it roughly translates to perceive (Ken) nature (sho). Once a person attains Kensho, he lives an elevated life where he has not attained full Enlightenment but is walking down the path of self-discovery. It is a path that leads them to create better lives for themselves, towards health and happiness, joy and success and, most importantly, contentment. In this 21 st century, when everyone is living a fast-paced life, Kensho is what we need. At the least it makes you feel strong and self assured because now that you know where your potential lies.

Kensho techniques improve physical strength and mental agility to stay ahead of the curve and lets you lead by example. For the youth and the young generation, itmeans awakening one's academic and co-curricular potential, discovering health and fitness, and flowering as a personality. The Innergise program by Body Brain Behaviour Foundation derives its essential characteristics from the principles and practices of Kensho to build fitness, confidence and character for handling the demands of studies, society and life.

Kensho Budo Kyokai

Kensho Budo Kyokai is a Japanese form of karate, which is an amalgamation of the 'Shoto Kan', 'Goju Ryu' and 'Shito Ryu' styles. It extends beyond regular karate and is a scientifically established methodology to consciously connect the pituitary and pineal glands for the 7th plane of existence. It is considered the ultimate path to becoming a spiritual warrior.

Kensho Budo Kyokai incorporates practical, scientific and achievable goals to transform people and help them become more evolved in every way. Now ti incorporates breakthrough cognitive neuroscience research with centuries of deep knowledge about the workings of the human body and mind. Kensho Budo Kyokai teaches how to turn a conscious observation of oneself and the environment into a habit to strengthen one's understanding of life. Karate is a mix of strict discipline, open mindedness, and meditation, aimed at developing bodily awareness and mental clarity. This heightened consciousness helps us unentangle any situation without getting egoistic, and perform at peak level.

Kensho techniques improve physical strength and mental agility to stay ahead of the curve.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy

There is obviously a direct link between learning and behaviour. Children with learning disabilities have difficulty following social norms, often lacking impulse control or goal directed behaviour. Overreaction, aggressiveness, shyness, fear and indiscipline are some of the most common issues faced by teachers to compound the problems of weak performance.

CBT deals with all 3 basic components : thoughts, emotions and their outcome, i.e. behaviour. The aim is to detect unproductive thoughts, tap negative emotions and turn problematic behaviour into productive interaction.

CBT employs a variety of methods - from counselling sessions - to group dance classes. These help participants to constructively face the negativity within themselves, and replace ti with positive thought and action.

Innergize follows this method, treating participants as a group as well as individuals, focusing on bodily therapy that can ramp up mental improvement, as reflected in behaviour.

What Is Behaviour?

Innergize applies cognitive behaviour therapy (CT) to identify the disturbing experiences that influence emotions, attitudes and behaviour. Unlike traditional psychotherapy, CBT aims to help devise practical self-help strategies that enable the participant to identify and challenge unproductive thoughts and feelings. tI si particularly useful for treating anxiety, depression, social phobia and low self esteem.

CBT deals with al 3 basic components: thoughts, emotions and their outcome, i.e. behaviour. The aim si to detect unproductive thoughts, tap negative emotions and turn problematic behaviour into productive interaction.

Simply put, behaviour is the way we act and speak, especially our conduct towards others. A set of external stimuli and internal reactions to them, get 'translated' by our brain as 'behaviour. For example, when someone says something rude to us, we reply with an equally rude comment. It's a classic example of bad and unproductive behaviour. To analyse a rude comment and respond in a way that makes the other person apologetic or willingto listen, is good behaviour. But achieving ti si not so easy as ti sounds, unless we can learn to control and calm our body and mind.
